Practical application of success principles challenge
The Challenge
success principles challenge
Our Holy God, through Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit, wants you to live a successful life. First, to understand this, we need to understand the spiritual meaning of success and relate that to the secular meaning.
Success is not measured by the amount of physical possessions that you have. The depth of your relationship to the One who owns everything measures success. To relate this to the secular understanding of success, we can look at it this way. When you have developed the closest possible spiritual relationship to Christ, you have put yourself into a position to become a steward of great wealth. Stewardship is one of the success principles that we shall deal with in our training. This takes a time of development, personal and spiritual. You may not realize this but the situations through which God has brought you to this date have been preparation for the days of your life from this point on. It’s a matter of retrospection and understanding. When God revealed this to me, I became very excited. I looked back at the situations through which I had traveled (both before my conversion and after) and I began to see a pattern. Every individual situation was preparing me for the greater things that God has planned for me. The scary part of all of this is that it was a result of the choices that I made. I began to understand that I had to change my mindset. Before I could understand God's success principles, I had to accept the fact that Almighty God not only has time for me but also He spends time with me. I began to understand the importance that God places on my life and on the lives of each and every one of His favorite creations. I am a person with connections and my greatest is with Christ through His Holy Spirit. I have the ear of the Creator of the Universe. I can be as successful as I choose to be. My success is directly proportionate to my relationship and understanding of Christ. This is a challenge. First we must accept the Sacrifice that Christ made to redeem us from our sinful lives and free us from the bondage of the sins that we have already committed. Secondly, we must believe, through the study of God’s word, that God wants us to be successful in our relationship with Him. He has given us all of the direction that we need. We must work through all of the misinformation that we have been taught and look only to God for answers (not men). Thirdly, we must visualize ourselves as successful. We must reach higher than we have ever reached. We must learn to believe God and the promises that He has made us in His Holy Word. Fourth, we must change our mindset. Throughout our lives we have been taught that the pursuit of wealth is wrong and brings about sin. This is correct and incorrect. It is correct when we allow the pursuit of wealth to be our main objective. We fall into the trap of lust. It is incorrect when God is our goal and becoming stewards of vast wealth for His Glory is our objective. Will you dare to believe that God wants to elevate you to a higher level? He does and through our success training Bible study, you’ll understand this. Proverbs 4:7 says that wisdom is supreme and no matter what it costs us, we need to seek understanding. We can only find wisdom and understanding in God’s Holy Word and the study of it.
