Success Training Bible Study - Genesis Chapter 24b

Chapters 24 - A Commitment to Principle

a success training Bible study of Genesis 24

Life is so full of decisions that men and women should know how to make good decisions. Many decisions are made on the basis of intuition - the “seat of the pants” method. This is a glorified “guess”. Whether inspired or uninspired, based on what appears to be the thing to do, these “guesses” are usually resultant in disorder.

It is imperative for us to learn sound principle to be used in our daily decision making. Abraham demonstrates this fact by making his decision about keeping the lineage, given him by the Holy One, clear of the people of Canaan. He knew that all of his decisions and directions need to adhere to the principles and directions of the Holy One - “as unto the Lord”.

Abraham’s absolute conviction that God would act was, of course, related to his unshakable commitment to the plan that God had outlined to him. He had come too far in his walk with God to doubt that He would not have His own special way of doing what was necessary. His God was too great and too good to allow anything to go wrong at this point. He believed verse 7 -"The LORD, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father's household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ' To your offspring I will give this land'-he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there.”

Have you developed that level of commitment to God’s Word in directing your path to success, physical and spiritual? Do you know that God has dispatched His Holy Angels to go ahead of you to secure your path. All you need do is use His principles to make your decisions. He will lead you as long as you place Him as your goal. This is the primary objective to this success training bible study.

The faithful servant, Eliezer, whom many think may have been heir if Isaac had not been born, was also a man of commitment. He knew the meaning of integrity. When Abraham asked him to promise before the Lord there was no doubt in either man’s mind that the promise would be kept. The man of integrity who commits to doing what he says he will do is a valued member of society. Today it is too easy for born again Christians to succumb to worldly principles and to not be committed to Biblical principles. We want to use this success training Bible study to direct you in the correct direction to realize your goals.

Rebekah also was a woman of principle (hard work and chastity).
