Success Training Bible Study - Intro to Genesis Chapter 6b

God's Perspective

success training Bible study

We must consider God’s perspective. This chapter shows the relevance of biblical facts to life today. “As it was in the days of Noah” represents the attitude of men today as well as the attitude of men in the days of Noah. There was a total disregard for God’s commandments. Moral and social decay were prevalent traits of the social structure, then and now. Lust of the eye and pride of life were the general rule, as is today. Go for the gusto, do your own thing, live for today were the motivations of the people in Noah’s day as they are today. Hedonistic passion was and is the goal of men.

As was true then, it is a fact today that God not only looks at the actions of men but He can also look into the hearts of men to see there desires and their passions. This success training Bible study stresses this in order to enhance the students relationship with God. In the days of Noah as is the case today there was a conception that God is some way was separated, divorced as it were, from His creation. They decided that God was not interested, was not intimately concerned with the life or lifestyles of mankind. They were of the opinion that God was not concerned about the way they lived and therefore they didn’t take Him seriously. That seems to be the prevalent attitude today. Men have been taught that God is loving and forgiving so we can live our lives as we want, according to what we choose to believe is right and He wont hold it against us.

In verse 2 and 5 we see that God sees the intent of the heart and that man increases in disobedience and deviance from God’s law. God perceived increasing destruction. Look at verse 12, “God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.”

At this point in verse 13, God passes judgment and tells Noah that He intends to destroy mankind. No one heeded the warnings. Just as today, those who believed God exists, imagined Him to be such a nice sort of fellow that surely He would judge the world. Everything OK. God’s a good guy. He doesn’t want to condemn anyone. No one would listen to Noah.

Preachers today and all born again believer need to shout the warnings to their friends and families. God is the same today as He was in the days of Noah. He will not strive with man much longer. Please tell others about this success training Bible study. Everyone needs this message.
